Character Name: Peter Parker
Series: The Amazing Spider-man
Timeline: After the lizard is defeated and before he makes it home to Aunt May
Canon Resource Link: Spider-Man and movie info
Character History: When Peter was four years old, his parents left suddenly, quickly in the middle of the night under mysterious circumstances. It was clear they were in danger, but beyond that, he never knew the reasons why. They left Peter with his Uncle Ben and Aunt May, giving their tearful goodbyes as Peter watched in confusion. Their plane is missing (believed to have crashed and his parents assumed dead), but there were still never any details for Peter as to why they would leave without him, why they would leave in the middle of the night, and why they would be in so much danger to begin with. It is a question that continues to haunt Peter, and it is the motivating factor beyond much of what happens later in his life.
He is raised wonderfully by his aunt and uncle like he is their own, but he still retains an abandonment complex because of his parents abrupt departure. Peter helps around the house to fix what is broken. They teach him about morals and about what is important. They don't have a lot of money, but Peter is loved and his aunt and uncle are like mom and dad to him even if there is still that question about his biological parents. If there is ever any hint about his parents, he is quick to track it down, and to search through all of his father's stuff to see if he can find out the reason why they would leave like that and what his father's research entailed. Anger builds in him along with confusion and hurt over having lost them for reasons unknown to him.
As a teenager in high school, Peter Parker is a loner who takes photographs and remains unassuming. He sticks to the walls, skateboards through the halls and outside, and tends to keep his head in a book and listen to his music. He is really smart but tends to not apply himself as much in class, which leads to him being noticed less by the people in the school. Occasionally, he is bullied, but it is more that he has a tendency to stick up for those being bullied, which consequently leads to getting his ass kicked by Flash (Eugene) on occasion. He has an intense crush on Gwen Stacy but instead of acting on those feelings, he pays attention to her and sometimes takes pictures of her from afar. It is shortly after getting his ass kicked by Flash that Gwen steps in, and since she finds what he did impressive, they actually are officially introduced for the first time.
While fixing the radiator for his Uncle Ben, he finds his father's briefcase in the basement, and he brings it upstairs to start to explore it. Inside, he finds the hints he needs to follow, including a formula which he has no idea at this time how important (and ultimately dangerous) it is. He follows these clues to Oscorp where he sneaks in to try to discover more about his father's research, which leads him to a room which contains genetically engineered spiders. One bites him, and his life is forever changed. It is discovered (in a later movie) that these spider bites would only work on Peter, because his father created them in such a way they would only activate powers with someone who had his own genes. He was worried about Oscorp wanting to use this information and research to create a mass amount of super soldiers, and this was his way of protecting that. This is nothing Peter is aware of presently though.
All he knows is on the subway ride home, he is suddenly intensely aware of his surroundings. His hand sticks so hard to a pole and a woman's shirt (accidentally, he is very apologetic about this) that both are ripped off out of place. Suddenly, he has fighting skills which he has never had before along with super strength, speed, and many other abilities including a sense which tells him when danger is about to hit. When he returns home, he acts a fool, and he nearly, accidentally destroys his bedroom after waking up without practice with these intense powers before he decides to do some research. Eventually, his research leads him to Dr. Connors, who he briefly met earlier. Now he knows that Dr. Connors worked closely with his father, and he gets informed about the true nature of their research. Dr. Connors and his father were working with the idea of genetically modified animals and discovering those genetics along with ways they could be given to people in order to do things like regrow limbs or cure diseases. It was Oscorp that had different ideas for the applications of that research, which is what made Peter's father ultimately have to leave so suddenly.
Peter practices using these powers and tests the limits of them (along with causing some mischief at school with Flash but finally asking Gwen out as well) while simultaneously helping Dr. Connors with his research. For Peter, it is like a connection with his father that he had been missing to work with someone who worked so closely with him, and he looks up to the man. One night, this makes Peter very late though when he was supposed to walk his Aunt May safely home. He ultimately gets in trouble with Ben who lectures him about responsibility and how Peter's father believed that if "you can do good things for people, you have a moral obligation to do those things." Still reeling from what he is learning, still upset, Peter responds very angrily asking where his father is if this is so important for him to know. He leaves abruptly, causing the glass door behind him to shatter.
At a store, Peter is still angry, and he is unable to buy the item he wants because the cashier is being harsh with him. The guy behind Peter has a gun and decides to rob the place, and in the middle of Peter's anger, Peter does absolutely nothing to stop him. In fact, the robber offers him the item he wanted, and Peter takes it. The robber runs out of the store with the gun in hand, and Peter continues walking. Uncle Ben, who had followed after Peter, is the one who attempts to stop the robber, but he is shot in the process. Peter discovers him as he is dying, but it is too late to save him, and he realizes that it is his fault his uncle died. If he had listened, if he had stopped the robber, if he had done his responsibility, his uncle would still be alive.
The grief and anger eats at Peter, and he uses his new powers to become a vigilante, searching for his Uncle Ben's killer. He stops people who fit the description, and he looks at their wrist to see if they have the same tattoo as that robber. When they don't, he ties them up against the wall to leave them for the police, but he continues his vigilante journey. He realizes he needs a mask one night when one of the people he attacks tells him that he has seen his face and will remember it. Peter builds a suit and web shooters for himself, using genetically engineered biocable from OsCorp to fill the cartridges. He gains fame/infamy as the masked vigilante throughout New York City.
One night, he goes over to Gwen's house, and he meets her father who is also the police chief. Captain Stacy and Peter get into an argument about the masked vigilante, which leads to Captain Stacy stating that the masked vigilante isn't doing good. He has a very clear vendetta against one particular person, and this is Peter's first realization that maybe what he is doing does not honor his Uncle's memory and maybe he needs to change tactics. He tells Gwen that night that he is the masked vigilante, and they kiss. Police sirens go off, because Dr. Connors has used that research to test on himself, to try to regrow his own limb, but it has turned him into a Lizard Man who is now wreaking havoc on the bridge. Peter shows up in costume, and he saves people for the very firs time with no ulterior motive of revenge. He reunites a son and his father, and he is immediately reminded of Uncle Bens. The son represents to him Uncle Ben, how he failed to save him that night but he can save other people and the people they care about. The man asks who he is, and for the first time, Peter answers, "I'm Spider-man."
Peter gets in many other fights with the Lizard Man before their final showdown as the Lizard tries to turn the whole of New York City into other Lizard people along with him using the same formula. Dr. Connors discovers the truth about Spider-man's identity and so does Captain Stacy. The final showdown takes place on top of the OsCorp's towers, and Peter makes it there thanks to help from multiple citizens throughout the city who pitch in, who he has helped before. Regular citizens doing good because they are able to. The Lizard nearly defeats him when Captain Stacy shows up from behind with a shotgun. Unfortunately though Dr. Connors is healed and given the cure, Captain Stacy is killed in the battle. As he is dying, he tells Peter that the city needs a hero like him, but being that hero means that he will bring danger to anyone who is near him. Captain Stacy makes him promise to stay away from Gwen so that she will be safe.
Peter makes this promise as he grieves over another loss, and eventually, he starts to head home, beaten, bruised, bleeding. He remembers though that Aunt May kept asking him to pick up a very specific brand of eggs, and he has forgotten over and over. Something about the weight of the night has Peter going to find those eggs before he heads back.

Here's a thing Peter Parker has just discovered.
Eggs really hurt when they go into cuts. It's not some minor annoyance. It is not as bad as cleaning alcohol, but it is sharp and painful, and it is really hard to see through the waves of egg on his face. The carton is still stuck to his hand though he's pulled it away from his face. All the eggs have fallen out and landed on his face or around the grass surrounding him.
Captain Stacy is dead. Dr. Connors is behind bars, and Peter Parker has to walk away from it all and go home like he didn't get into a giant battle with a giant lizard on top of a skyscraper and get Gwen's dad killed in the process. All of it, it's his fault, and it is another reason why he doesn't want to go home yet. Uncle Ben, Captain Stacy, Dr Connors... they're all dead or in jail, because Peter could not leave well enough alone. He has to keep chasing parents who are long since dead, and in the process, he has taken Gwen's dad from her. He has taken Uncle Ben from this world.
So if there is anything he can do for his Aunt May after her husband died because of Peter's actions, it is getting her those eggs she has asked him about over and over again. He got the eggs, stuck the carton to his hand, and climbed up the alleyway wall only to have somehow fallen completely. His own hand with the carton in it opening and smacking him in the face with a dozen or so eggs. Great. He spits some egg stuff out of his mouth.
"This day... cannot get any worse."
He rubs at his face which also hurts, sitting up. The world spins. He has a bullet wound in his leg, and his face and chest is covered in scratches and bruises though he at least managed to dress back in regular clothes before all this. The spandex is on under them. Peter blinks as his vision finally clears, and he abruptly realizes he is... not in New York City. It's too green for the area of New York City he had been in, and even if it was Central Park, he can't hear the cars. Where are all the cars?
"...just kidding."
First-Person Sample:
[Peter Parker is a man of modern times, but he is not all that experienced with social media despite that. He is not... really social at all, and while he is very smart and good at technology, he doesn't spend all that much time on the web (which is ironic given... his secret identity). After all, he uses Bing as a search engine, but it is not an option to submit How to Wonderland into the internet and have a reply return with a bunch of options.]
Uh, hi. Peter Parker. ...am I. That's me.
So... hey, any advice for a newbie? Something you didn't know when you first got here but wished you did? [He figures that might be a good place to start out with. He got the low down from some people on his first day including the There's No Way Home bit, which just really sucks a lot.
Also the fact it is Wonderland, which yeah, he read the story but... that is it. It is a story. It was a story. Now it's a little too real, and he has dealt with Lizard Man and sudden super powers, but this is taking it to some different level completely. All the rest, it had scientific explanations. What science is going to explain any of this?]
Also so this isn't all about me, you can share something about... where you're from or who you are. Favorite color. [Yeah. Totally nailed this socialization thing.]

Abilities/Special Powers:
Powers:Superhuman strength: Far stronger than an average human. His super strength allows him to be able to rip apart guns, pull up a fallen van, and jump far from one skyscraper to the next. Superhuman endurability: Peter's muscles and skin are far tougher than the average human, which keeps his arm from being ripped out of its socket at the speeds he travels off of hanging on a webbing as he swings from one building to the next. It means he can survive really big falls as well as many other moments which would result in death or great injury to the average person. Superhuman equilibrium: This helps Peter remain balanced on his feet or on his fingers on any object from any height. Superhuman speed: Can run fast enough to catch up to speeding vehicles! Superhuman acrobatics: He is very flexible as well as has incredibly quick reflexes. The wiki says it his reflexes are 35 times faster than that of an average human, but I am not sure where it gets that number. He is able to evade most gunfire at even a close range as well as perform many stunts like doing flips. Superhuman Stamina: He can perform physical activity for far longer than the average human. Superhuman senses: These are all enhanced though he still uses his glasses/contacts at times so it is likely his vision has not been enhanced, but his hearing definitely has been and he can sense vibrations to figure out someone/something's location. Regenerative healing factor: Peter heals faster than the average human though it is not instant, and he is able to die if the injury is great enough. He keeps bruises at least for a few days as you can see Peter goes out to fight at night and then retains some of those bruises for the next couple of days. However, he never goes to a hospital despite being shot in the leg which he obviously eventually recovers from as well as the deep cuts along his chest and face. Spider sense: This is not an ability that Peter can control really, but it is an extra sense which lets him know when danger is about to happen. In the movies, he is shown to use this to anticipate someone trying to hit him before they do, and he dodges. In another instance, the sense alerts him to the fact that two people are moments away from getting electrocuted, and he is able to save them both because of it. Wall-crawling/sticking to stuff: Peter is able to stick to any surface including walls, metal, and glass... and anything. There is nothing that it appears he can't stick to in some way. He uses this primarily to crawl up walls, and generally he is able to turn this off and on though in times of high stress, it may activate on its own as is seen in the subway ride.
Abilities:Genius intellect: Peter is able to understand advanced biology, physics, and chemistry enough that he is able to work right alongside Dr. Connors who is a leading scientist within his field. The wiki says Peter solved the code, but it was actually something he found of his father's which he gives to Dr. Connors. He claims it is his own to Dr. Connor, but it is not. However, he is very smart. On top of that, he is really amazing at inventing like how he invented his own suit and web shooters, and he is also great at fixing things as he is seen often fixing what needs fixing around his house for his aunt and uncle. Skilled acrobat: His powers inherently make him a very skilled acrobat. Skilled combatant: Again after learning how to use all of his powers and combining them in one, Peter figured out how to harness them in such a way that he could be a powerful and skilled combatant. He is not trained at all, but he is highly skilled due to those super human powers given to him from the spider bite
